Happy Thanksgiving from ASPR!
Thanksgiving is not something you feel once a year... it is an attitude you carry with you all year long. What are you thankful for this year? Make it a goal to think of one thing to be truly thankful for each and every day. ASPR is thankful for each and every member and the fellowship we have by being part of a collegial organization. Happy Thanksgiving!
Webinar Next Week: Managing the Growth and Implementation of the Physician Recruitment Role to Advance Your Career, While Making Sure You Don’t Get Scalped
Date: Dec. 2, 2015
Time:10 a.m. PT / Noon CT / 1 p.m. ET
Presenter: Allen Kram, FASPR, Westchester Medical Center
The purpose of this webinar is to share some of the experiences that we have had in starting or growing a physician recruitment department. Many of us are called upon to start (often from scratch) a robust physician recruitment department. Regardless of the size of your team, growing a department can be a challenging and often rewarding experience, but in other cases it can be rife with unforeseen challenges and unintended consequences. In today’s environment with mergers and consolidations and a push for efficiencies, many physician recruitment professionals are finding themselves in positions where we have to take on roles outside of their comfort zone.
We intend to assist in building the framework for a successful implementation by not only providing some tools and resources, but insights into how to thrive within today’s new health care environment. Through the prism of the presenter's 25 years of recruitment experience, with the last 12 as a physician manager, we will explore some of the lessons learned, battles to avoid, and places to hold firm to your convictions. Whether you are a new recruiter, growing your department, taking over the recruitment function at a multi-hospital system, or just considering changing organizations, we will look at the building blocks to develop a positive, customer-friendly recruitment culture, from sourcing to onboarding through offboarding.
